As a group we decided to do our lip-synch project to the song "Bohemian Rhapsody written and sung by Queen" We chose this song because we wanted to pick a song that we all know and something that we could have fun with.
We brainstormed and storyboarded ideas that connected with certain lyrics in the song, keeping a comical feel to the video yet still relating to the story line and lyrics. We therefore didn't include any performance in our lip sync.
I personally feel like the group worked well and managed to complete a lot of work in a small amount of time as we find it easy to communicate with each other and get the task done. All our ideas were put into the video allowing equal amounts of input. Our scenes both easy to watch and clear to understand. We had some problems with the editing as in some of the scenes we had shot, we were singin a little bit faster than the video. We didnt think this would be an issue originally but once we came to put it all together we realised that it made a difference to the quality of our editing. We managed to get the song into the clip and had no problems doing so.
If we had longer to work on our Lip-Synch music video we would have been able to choose more appropriate props/clothing and even a suitable setting for filming. We also would have been able to re-film any parts of our video that we felt needed to be re-done and spent more time getting the lip syncing perfect. The video itself could have had more effects and even been slightly longer. All in all, I am very pleased with the outcome and think the group worked very well together.
